Yerba Mate

Brief about history

This specifity came to us from the countries of South America – Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil. When Jesuit missionaries came to convert indigenous people, they discovered that the favorite drink of these Indians was just yerba mate. These are dried leaves of yerba mate. It has been observed that yerba mate removes fatigue, which is an advantage of high caffeine content in dried fruit.

Jesuits fascinated by this drink began to promote its drinking in Europe, but when the order was liquidated, Europeans for many years forgot about yerba mate.
